Turning and Milling Center
Machining centers, also known as milling centers, are versatile machines that can perform a variety of operations such as milling, drilling, boring, tapping, and more. They feature computerized automatic tool change functions and a table that clamps the workpiece in place. On the other hand, the Turning centers, or CNC lathes, are machine tools used for rotating a bar of material to perform operations. They can be configured horizontally or vertically and typically consist of a bed, headstock, chuck, tool turret, and spindle. The chuck clamps the workpiece while the spindle rotates it, and the tool turret holds various cutting tools for operation.
A CNC Turning & Milling Center, also known as a CNC Mill Turn Center or CNC Turn Mill Center, combines the capabilities of both a CNC lathe and a CNC milling machine. These machines are multi-tasking and multi-function, allowing for the production of complex workpieces in a single operation. They can perform turning operations as well as rotating tooling operations like milling, drilling, tapping, and slotting. CNC Turn Mill Centers offer advantages such as faster part making, higher accuracy, and reduced setup times. They are capable of machining parts with complex geometry and can be programmed to perform a variety of tasks. The integration of turning and milling capabilities in one machine enhances productivity and efficiency.
Campro is also a CNC Turn Mill Center Manufacturers. Their family of CNC Turn Mill machines includes the CPL-MC, which features a combination of C-axis and a Live Tool Turret. They also offer twin spindle series machines with automatically synchronized part transfer performance, enabling front and back-end turning applications in a single setup. The CPL-Y/SY series and NT-208S, SM, SY models are examples of machines with such specifications. Some models in the series incorporate the Y-axis, allowing for compound machining such as milling, drilling, and tapping of the workpiece. The NT-208Y, CPL-3010Y, and SY models with the Y-axis are available. These CNC Turn Mill Centers find applications in the automotive, die & mold, medical, and mass production industries.
Applications: Automotive, Die & Mold, Medical, Mass Production
